Bartley: Promotion remains the aim

Midfielder Marvin Bartley believes Bournemouth can still challenge at the top of League One despite the disruption of losing manager Eddie Howe and assistant Jason Tindall to Burnley. The Cherries travel to Rochdale on Tuesday night and Bartley has backed his side to get a win under new management duo Lee Bradbury and Steve Fletcher. He told the club's official website: "It's going to be a battle and there is a long distance rivalry with them after last season. "We have prepared for it like any other game and it's been good with Lee (Bradbury) and Fletch. We are going there to win the game and keep the pressure on at the top of the league." Despite the difficulties faced by losing Howe, Bartley added the squad is in good spirits. "We are all so positive here and there are no negatives after what happened last week," he added. "Of course everybody is disappointed to lose Eddie and Jason because they have been absolutely brilliant for us, but the boys are fully behind Lee and Fletch and with them we now believe we can kick on, and that starts at Rochdale."
