With his loan period coming to an end in January, Lee Barnard has expressed an interest in staying for an extended period of time.
Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, the loanee is quoted as saying: "I haven’t really spoken to the gaffer or anyone at the moment. “But I like it here, I am playing football, I am enjoying it and the club is going places, so I would be more than happy. If the chance was there, I would stay. The start wasn’t what we wanted but we have responded well lately and, hopefully, we can have a good run. There is definitely enough quality in the squad that can get us out of this league. There are still a lot of games and, especially in this league, everyone takes points from everyone. It is going to be tough but we know that and all we can do is concentrate on a game at a time and see where it gets us".
