Baker: No money left at Cherries

Baker was hoping to sever his ties with the Cherries after agreeing, in principle, a deal to sell his 50 per cent share to a consortium headed by Adam Murry.[LNB]However, after Murry's group failed to meet a deadline to buy him out, Baker has been forced to return to the front line while he bids to find another buyer.[LNB]Baker, who has already stepped down as Cherries chairman, told the Daily Echo: "When people say 'how much has Paul Baker put in?', it isn't just about this season, it's also about funding through the administration.[LNB]"I'm not in a position to put any more money into the club, given the current economic climate. But I will do whatever I can to help the football club flourish by finding the next owners because I think it's going to come to that.[LNB]"Adam Murry's master plan in terms of the academy, planning for a fourth stand and hopefully being able to buy back the stadium is the right way to go. Unfortunately, there wasn't the money there to do it so now we're back to a situation where we've got to try to keep the club in survival mode."[LNB][LNB]
