The Cherries slip to another defeat on the road, at the same time, bowing out of the Capital One Cup.

Disappointment on the road, back at the scene of the 6-1 drubbing for the first away match of the season, as the Cherries slip out of the Capital One Cup at the second round stage against a Watford side who made TEN changes from their game at the weekend.

The match started brightly enough for both, with the break through coming in the 14th minute, when a cross from Forestieri was diverted past his own keeper by Elliott Ward. After the goal, possession was fairly even, but Watford still created the clearer and better chances.

The second half the Cherries created better chances, without being as clinical as they should have been to peg our hosts back. A prime example came MacDonald and Pugh both missed excellent chances, only to see Watford to break, at pace, to bag their second of the game through Battochio, to effectively put the game to bed.

The Cherries tried to come back, with chances being created for Surman and Pitman but a lack of accuracy eluded the Cherries as they slipped out of this Cup competition.
