Eddie Howe insists he will not break the bank in his search for a striker to replace Brett Pitman. With the search on for a new striker, manager Eddie Howe insists he will not break the bank to bring a replacement for Brett Pitman. The Cherries manager is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "Any player we bring in has to fall within our wage structure and we won’t break that for anybody. There are financial constraints and the player would have to fit certain criteria. It is something we believe in because we don’t want disparity among the players. The club has to live within its means and we will ensure that continues to happen. If you pay a sizeable fee for a player then they would expect higher wages and that’s when difficulties can arise. Any new player would have to fall in line with the others whom have done so well for us. The players we have got have been absolutely fantastic for 20 months and have achieved what they have with togetherness and team spirit. We are not going to jeopardise that just for the sake of bringing in one player on higher wages".
