AFC Bournemouth have signed a player from Torquay United.

AFC Bournemouth have announced that they have captured the services of Torquay United midfielder Eunan O'Kane, who has signed on a 3-year deal for a reported fee in the region of £175,000.

On his signing, O'Kane is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "The deal happened very quickly. I was told by the manager at Torquay on Tuesday that Bournemouth had made an official enquiry. I was told nothing would happen until next week as the chairman was out of the country, but got a phone call on Tuesday evening saying a bid had been made and accepted, so it was much quicker than I expected. I was aware of speculation linking me with other clubs, but Bournemouth made a bid and I was excited to come here straight away. The club sold itself to me and the manager reiterated that when we had a chat. He told me where he sees the club going and where he sees me going and his vision is the same as mine. It didn’t take a lot, because I was sold on coming here anyway, but what the manager said to me this morning absolutely convinced me this was the place to be".
