Tretton ends injury battle

Accrington Stanley centre-half Andy Tretton has been forced to retire from professional football due to a long-standing knee problem.
The 30-year-old joined Stanley on a free transfer from Hereford United in the summer of 2005, but has made just a handful of appearances for the Reds due to a series of injury problems.
Now Tretton has decided to call it a day and prepare for a life outside the game.
The commanding centre-back started his career as a trainee with Derby County, before spending four-and-a-half years with Shrewsbury Town and three with Hereford.
