Stanley reject bid for Proctor

Accrington Stanley appear to have fought off interest from two clubs in midfield man Andy Proctor.

Macclesfield Town and Rochdale have enquired about the player over the last seven days and made an offer for the 25-year-old, whose contract runs out at the end of the season.

While Dale's interest seemed to cool, Stanley rejected a bid for the player from the Silkmen.

"Rochdale's interest has cooled," Stanley assistant manager Jimmy Bell told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"We've had another club showing interest, but their valuation is a long way short of ours. We would want a lot more than what they offered."
