Stanley hit with league charge

Accrington Stanley have been hit with a Football League charge for fielding ineligible players.
The League Two strugglers twice played Preston youngster Chris McGrail when on work experience at the club but while he was still registered as a scholar with North End.
The name of a second player remains unknown at this stage.
If found guilty of breaking league rules, Stanley could face a points deduction which could plunge the Lancashire club deeper into relegation trouble.
"The club considers the charges to be technical issues and will submit a detailed defence to the disciplinary commission hearing early next month," read a club statement.
"Accrington Stanley Football Club is taking expert advice in this matter and can assure supporters that they will take every available option open to them to ensure that league status is maintained.
"The club will make no further comment at the present time."
