Accrington Stanley will release Michael Welch, Mauro Almeida and Sean Doherty when their contracts expire in the summer.
Experienced defender Welch joined from Macclesfield Town two years ago but has been told he is free to seek a new club despite being a virtual ever-present this season.
Almeida signed a short-term deal earlier in the season but is surplus to requirements, while Doherty has failed to break into the first team following his arrival from Port Vale last summer.
"Telling your players that they won't be with you next season is probably a manager's hardest job," Stanley boss John Coleman told the club's official website.
"All three lads leave with the best wishes of the club. They have been great to work with and I can't fault any of them for effort."
Ahead of summer of change, Romuald Boco, Paul Mullin, Shaun Whalley and Tony Grant are the only Stanley players currently contracted for next season.
