Stanley boss singles out Symes

The striker failed to get on the scoresheet himself but pulled the strings for Stanley, and Coleman was delighted with his all-round display. "That was as good a performance from a centre forward that I've seen. Michael could have had a hat-trick as could (Bobby) Grant, and John Miles was a threat after the break," said Coleman, whose side won courtesy of second-half goals from Chris Turner, Phil Edwards and two from Grant. "It was flat in the first half and we knew they would be a danger from counter-attacks. We spoke about how we wanted to play at half-time, we asked the players, and the players found the answers after the break. It was pleasing that they took responsibility. "We were hurt after losing to a last-minute goal against Chesterfield last week and had a week to think about that so I'm delighted we have done well and all the goals were great goals. "We know we haven't been consistent in the last few seasons and we have rectified this at home so far this season. If we had played like that in our other home games we would have been further up the table."
