Stanley agree striker swoop

Accrington Stanley have agreed a deal with Premier League neighbours Blackburn Rovers to sign striker Rostyn Griffiths on loan.

Griffiths will join the League Two club next week when the Football League transfer window reopens.

The striker impressed Stanley after scoring in the midweek 5-3 reserve team victory over Macclesfield Town's second string.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin will be out for up to three weeks after suffering a serious gash to his leg in Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Tranmere Rovers.

Goalkeeping coach Jamie Speare will be on the bench for Saturday's clash with Exeter City.
