Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman has moved to strengthen his back-line by signing Rikki Bains on a short-term contract.
The former Coventry City central defender has been training with Stanley for some time and impressed Coleman with his displays for the reserves.
Bains has now signed a deal running until Christmas at the Fraser Eagle Stadium.
The new man will be hoping to make his first-team debut against Boston United on Saturday, but Coleman is unlikely to make too many changes following Stanley's 5-0 win against Wrexham in midweek.
