Mullin commits to Stanley

Veteran Accrington Stanley striker Paul Mullin has ended speculation about his future by agreeing a new two-year deal with the club.

Shrewsbury Town had tried to lure the 33-year-old striker to the New Meadow earlier this month, but Mullin has decided to continue to ply his trade with Accrington.

Mullin has scored 11 times in all competitions so far this season and his goals have done much to lift John Coleman's side away from the relegation zone.

Mullin holds the appearance record for Stanley after moving to the club from Radcliffe Borough in August 2000.
