Mullin backs Stanley signings

Accrington Stanley striker Paul Mullin believes that the club have made some valuable additions to their squad as they prepare for life in the Nationwide Conference.

The forward formed a lethal partnership with Lutel James last season to fire Accy to the UniBond League title and is confident of his side doing well at a higher level.

Stanley boss John Coleman has brought in former Burnley duo Gordon Armstrong and Paul Cook, along with Darren Connell, and Mullin is impressed.

He told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "We've made some good signings in Paul Cook and Gordon Armstrong and I think they'll settle in well.

"We've got a good mix of age groups in the squad and their experience will count because it's going to be a hard season."
