Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman has warned his players to buck their ideas up as they prepare for a relegation dogfight in the next few months.
The Reds risk losing their Football League status after a single season, with a 2-1 reverse at Darlington leaving Coleman's side just two points above the drop zone.
He said after the loss: "I was very disappointed with the goals that we conceded and they were 2-0 up before we had even got out of bed.
"If we had played with more spirit in the first half, then we could have got something out of the game, because on the balance of play I think that we should have won it.
"But fair play to Darlington because they had a good 15-minute spell and scored two goals, but defensively I was disappointed.
"We have to start believing that we are good enough to win these games."
