Gornell ponders Accy future

Accrington Stanley loanee Terry Gornell is pondering a longer-term stay with the League Two club, having impressed since his arrival from Tranmere Rovers.

The 18-year-old has scored three times in eight appearances for the Reds and is likely to at least spend a third month a the Crown Ground.

He told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "I'll just take it as it comes. I've not really spoken to the gaffer about it. They've just been laughing and joking with me that the contract is there to sign.

"But I've been made up with how it's gone here. I spoke to Ronnie Moore at Tranmere's game against Crewe on Friday. He just said well done and wished me all the best for Saturday.

"I'm not too sure whether they will let me stay here for the season. You never know.

"When I first came here I thought it might only be for a month, so I'll just have to wait and see."
