Accrington Stanley's defence was blasted by boss John Coleman after the 4-3 home defeat at the hands of MK Dons.
The Reds slipped to within one point of the bottom two as a result of a sixth loss in seven league games, leaving Coleman bitterly disappointed.
He fumed: "We have scored three magnificent goals and they have scored one and we have gifted them three.
"If we keep defending like that, we will go down.
"We have some hard work to do until January and then I will scour the market for a defender.
"We can't keep having to score three or four goals to win at home. The reason we lost was that we couldn't defend properly."
