Coleman happy with a point

Accrington boss John Coleman declared himself satisfied after seeing his side battle to a goalless draw at Oxford.Stanley looked sharp after their narrow Carling Cup defeat by Newcastle and were the better team in the first half as Oxford keeper Ryan Clarke saved from Ray Putterill and Sean McConville.Oxford threatened more in the second half but Coleman was pleased to see Accrington grind out a third goalless draw of the season."We certainly did enough in the first half to win, we controlled the game. But give Oxford their due, they came out in the second half and made a couple of good chances, and could have won the game themselves. I think a draw's a fair result," said Coleman."We passed the ball very well in the first half. But as good as we were at passing it in the first half, we were bad in the second, yet that might have something to do with how Oxford changed it around to counter that."Some of our passing second half was wayward, and that's being kind. And when we don't pass it well, we can look very, very ordinary. And that's not us, we've got very, very good footballers. And they're disappointed with how they've played."
