Accrington Stanley have announced that the capacity of the Fraser Eagle Stadium has been increased to 5,075.
Safety concerns had previously restricted the capacity to 4,314, but recent ground improvements have now lifted that figure by 15 per cent.
Stanley's Stadium Manager and Safety Officer, Mick Schultz, told the club's official website: "It's great news for the club and is reward for a lot of hard work that's gone into the stadium over the last few years.
"We know we still have work to do and our rapid progression in recent years has meant we've gone from having one of the best stadiums at the level we were playing at, to probably having one of the least appealing.
"However, our fans have been great, and their patience as we've moved through the leagues has been fantastic.
"Most of the last 12 months has been spent satisfying the requirements that playing in the Football League bring, but now we've pretty much ticked those boxes we want to concentrate on making the Fraser Eagle Stadium an even more pleasant place to come and watch football."
