Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman was relieved to see his side finally win away from home on Saturday as the League Two newcomers returned from the long trip to Torquay United with three points after a 2-0 success at Plainmoor.
The victory, Stanley's first since last term's Conference success at Woking in April, left Accrington ninth in the table.
Coleman said: "It was a very good team performance. It's the calmest I've been on the bench for a long time.
"If they can keep me sitting down for the rest of the season I'll be a happy man because it means they are doing the right things.
"'We want to be in the top half of the table at the turn of the year and then see where we can go from there.
"It's our first away win for more than six months, but it can't just be an end here - it's got to be the start."
