Whalley set to make Stanley sale
Whalley first invested in the club back in 1995 and has since helped guide them to three promotions and a return to the Football League in 2006.[LNB]Stanley have confirmed that an agreement has been made in principle but the deal has yet to be signed.[LNB]"Eric has done a fantastic job in helping guide Accrington from non-league obscurity to professional football in the Football League," said chief executive Robert Heys.[LNB]"He'll always be remembered for what he has achieved at this football club as chairman and especially for helping guide the club back into the Football League.[LNB]"The deal has been done in principle and we will release further details later next week."[LNB][LNB]
