Symes hoping for Stanley start

24 August 2009 18:11
With Coleman's strikers yet to register a league goal this season, Symes is pushing hard for a run out and could replace Paul Mullin or John Miles at Loftus Road on Tuesday. After back-to-back defeats to Northampton and Aldershot in the league, Stanley are hoping to cause another cup upset after dumping out Walsall a fortnight ago. This is the first time Coleman's men have progressed to the second round of the competition since 2006. Meanwhile, Coleman is playing the waiting game in his quest to sign Craig Lindfield and Ross Lloyd. The club's recent financial difficulties mean they cannot afford to add to their 20-man squad, but Coleman is interested in signing striker Lindfield, who has been told he can leave Liverpool, and full-back Lloyd following his summer release from Blackpool.
