Stanley's defender deal on hold

Reports earlier this week suggested the Stanley boss was on the verge of bringing in a centre-back from a Premier League club, but the League Two outfit have been unable to push through a deal.[LNB]However, Coleman revealed he hopes to add the unnamed player to his ranks early next week.[LNB]"I was supposed to be bringing a lad in on loan," Coleman told the club's official website. "But we haven't been able to complete that before this weekend. Hopefully we'll get something done next week.[LNB]"We just need a bit of cover (in defence)," he said. "Johnny Flynn is on international duty along with Billy Kee, so that's a big miss for us over the weekend.[LNB]"That will limit the options in our squad. I still think we need cover just in case because at the drop of a hat you can lose two or three defenders and we don't have a great deal of them."[LNB][LNB]
