Stanley to discuss debt repayment

The League Two side were last week issued with a winding up order to repay unpaid tax and national insurance contributions, but tax chiefs handed them a lifeline to avoid Stanley having to stump up all the cash before the High Court hearing on June 10. HM Revenue and Customs have agreed that a compromise could be reached over the debt to allow the club to pay back their debt in instalments, while club shareholder Ilyas Khan has pledged to stump up £250,000. Club officials will attend the London meeting to try and prove they are able to repay the amount in full over a set period of time.
