Stanley move Crewe clash to Friday

Stanley have seven weeks remaining to pay off a £308,000 tax bill or face closure, and have decided to move the Crewe game after the success of last Friday's 2-1 win over Darlington, which attracted a crowd of over 3,000 - more than double the average. It also leaves the weekend free for the club's continued fundraising with bucket collections currently being arranged for a couple of high-profile games in the area. Chief executive Rob Heys said: "Hopefully people will understand the reasons for the move. It isn't something that we are looking to make a regular occurrence. "However, it keeps the weekend free for fundraising activities and I am sure that it will also have an impact on the gate."
