Stanley knife Shrews in Trophy

Second-half goals from Gary King and Dean Winnard set up a home tie against Bury for John Coleman's men.[LNB]Shrewsbury's Chris Neal was the busier goalkeeper during the first half and pulled off a tremendous save when he pushed Billy Kee's 25-yard volley over the crossbar. The visitors created little in the opening 45 minutes, their best effort a 20-yard drive from Lewis Neal that was heading towards the top corner until Phil Edwards diverted the effort over the top.[LNB]Minutes into the second half Accrington had the lead. Edwards' freekick from the left prompted an attempted scissor kick by Kee - he missed the ball completely but Michael Symes was able to tee up King who fired home from 10 yards.[LNB]Shrewsbury barely had time to regroup when Stanley added a second, Winnard turning Bobby Grant's cross into the net from close range.[LNB]Winnard prevented a goal at the other end when flung himself into the path of Nathan Elder's shot and seconds later substitute Will Richards had a rising shot tipped over the bar by Martin.[LNB][LNB]
