Stanley chief upbeat on takeover

Businessmen Dave O'Neill is the leading candidate for the takeover at the Fraser Eagle Stadium but some recent negative publicity had put a delay on proceedings. The FA revealed earlier this month that five players - including four past and present from Accrington - were charged for placing bets on Stanley to lose against Bury last season. But Heys said: "It's still ongoing and there is no reason why it shouldn't go through but because of one or two unwanted interruptions, like the betting scandal, it has taken a back seat. "But it should be sorted before the end of the season."
