Khan ready to step in for Stanley

Khan, who has second-biggest stake in the club, has concerns over a deal which has seen chairman Eric Whalley agree to sell his majority share to Dave O'Neill. And the 46-year-old, who has a 15% share in Stanley, is ready to step in if he believes the deal to be unsatisfactory. "If David has not got the money, or has lost the bottle - then I will step up," Khan told the Lancashire Telegraph. "It's come to my attention that David and his buyers are trying to raise money by selling the future revenues of the club. If he's loading the club with debt, then I won't support it. "I do support David O'Neill - he's got the energy and ambition to take Stanley forward - but I'm questioning his ability to complete the deal."
