The League Two game was called off after heavy rainfall left the pitch unplayable despite hard work to make sure the game went ahead.[LNB]"It is a major disappointment. And we do need to look to a significant investment in the summer," chief executive Heys told the Lancashire Telegraph.[LNB]"We have worked on the pitch and had a machine in and at 3pm it was fine. But the rain between 4pm and 5pm left the referee with no option.[LNB]"Everyone was ready for the game and there will be no-one more disappointed than Coley (manager John Coleman) and the players because they want to play games of football."[LNB][LNB]
