Coleman: Stanley not at the races

10 February 2010 11:48
Accrington boss John Coleman was left disappointed by his side's display in their 4-0 defeat at Northampton. Top scorer Adebayo Akinfenwa got the ball rolling in the 10th minute with a shot on the turn for his 11th goal of the season, before Billy McKay opened his account in the 57th minute with a superb curling effort, and quickly grabbed his second just past the hour following a Thornton cross. Luke Guttridge grabbed number four in the 66th minute with a shot from the edge of the box and Coleman said: "We were very poor, we just didn't perform. "There wasn't a lot in it in the first half but we conceded a very poor goal. Northampton stepped up a gear in the second half but we just didn't work their keeper at all. We were a shadow of ourselves and we need to get it out of the system."
