Coleman hopeful over Stanley future

Stanley have seven weeks remaining to pay off a £308,000 tax bill or face closure and have begun a series of fundraising events. "It would be a shame to let it all slip away," Coleman told the Lancashire Telegraph. "When we got back into the Football League, I spoke to 80 or 85-year-old people who were delighted. "I've spoken to those people as well about how it felt in the 60s (when the club went out of business), the despair. People can get blasi and say it's only a football club, but to a lot of people it's their life. "You hear the noise our fans make, there might not be a lot of them but with the noise they make you can see it is their life. They deserve a football club."
