Coleman hails Stanley character

Accrington boss John Coleman hailed his side's tenacity after they ground out a thrilling 3-2 home win over Crewe. Goals from Charlie Barnett, Ian Crane and Sean McConville gave Stanley the win despite Byron Moore and David Artell twice pulling the Railwaymen level. Coleman said: "We gave away a silly goal in the first half but have shown tenacity to bounce back and get a win. There were five smashing goals out there. "I was pleased for Ian Craney to get a goal, his first since he has come back to us, as it will do his confidence the world of good. He can always pull a rabbit out of a hat. Charlie Barnett has scored a great goal - he has a lot of talent - and then Sean McConville took the last one well. "We have had a tough week where we lost to Rotherham when we felt we shouldn't have and our heads could have gone down but we have kept battling and have won our last two and that's six points out of six and now we can only look forward. "There are still a few weaknesses to iron out but there were a lot of positives to take."
