Coleman backs Stanley promotion bid

Accrington manager John Coleman feels his side still have a "massive chance" of finishing in the top seven come May, despite their 3-1 setback at Gillingham. Stanley may be down in 13th place, 10 points adrift of Gills, but they have four games in hand over their Kent promotion rivals. "We played well," said Coleman after the Priestfield defeat. "I'm obviously disappointed we missed the penalty. We showed lots of character. "We gave away a silly goal and we could have done much better with the second and to be honest the third goal took the wind out of our sales. "I wouldn't swap the squad I have got for any other squad as far as the teams going for the play-offs are concerned. I still think we have a massive chance of making the play-offs. We've got games in hand, starting on Tuesday. "It doesn't matter how far you have come, you're always disappointed when you have lost. We`re not going to beat ourselves up. It was a very good game and a really good advert for League Two."
