Betting five handed extension

Peter Cavanagh, Robbie Williams, Andrew Mangan, David Mannix and Jay Harris were all charged by the Football Association for breaching betting rules three weeks ago and had originally been given until April 23 to answer the charges.[LNB]Mannix is alleged to have bet £4,000, Mangan £3,000, Harris £2,000, Williams £1,000 and Cavanagh a £5 accumulator before the final game of the 2007/08 season, which Bury won 2-0.[LNB]Stanley chairman Eric Whalley has already stated publicly that if found guilty Cavanagh and Williams - the only players who remain contracted to the Lancashire club out of the five - will be sacked.[LNB][LNB]
