McLeod makes Stanley pay Izale McLeod marked his first Barnet start with a first-half double to give them a 2-0 win over Accrington. The 26-year-old striker, who had appeared just three times off the bench since joining in September, began his full debut with a bang by rifling home after 12 minutes. McLeod underwent knee surgery after joining Barnet but showed no ill-effects when he produced a low finish from George Francomb's free-kick. Stanley should have levelled when Terry Gornell, who earlier fired narrowly over from 30 yards, flicked the ball on to Charlie Barnett who shot wide under pressure With the visitors pressing for a leveller before the break, McLeod started and finished a rapid Barnet breakaway to give the hosts' breathing space. Clovis Kamdjo could have added Barnet a third but he fired wide from inside the six-yard box, before Ian Craney and Gornell both wasted chances to get Stanley back into the contest.
