Procter in Stanley frame

Midfielder Andy Procter may be involved for winless Accrington against Tranmere.

Procter returned to Stanley, for whom he made over 400 appearances during his previous spell, on deadline day but was not included in the team which lost to Carlisle 24 hours later.

Striker James Gray was among those rested but is likely to come in, as is full-back Nicky Hunt - provided he can shake off a knock.

James Beattie's men have gone seven games without a victory in all competitions thus far.

Tranmere are set to hand a debut to veteran goalkeeper Peter Brezovan.

Owain Fon Williams is away on international duty with Wales and so Brezovan, who signed at Prenton Park on deadline day, is expected to start ahead of Sam Ramsbottom.

Midfielder Jason Koumas is considered fine despite missing last weekend's win over Morecambe with a knock while winger Abdulai Bell-Baggie could feature after not travelling to meet up with Sierra Leone to work on his fitness.

George Donnelly, a deadline-day capture from Rochdale, will be vying for a place up front, although Cole Stockton is considered top of the pecking order after netting three goals in August.
