Loan duo available to Beattie

James Beattie will have both of Accrington's loan players at his disposal when they try and oust Tranmere from the FA Cup.

Stanley have permission to field goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli, borrowed from Fulham, and Rotherham striker Kayode Odejayi when Rovers visit the Crown Ground.

Beattie has fielded an unchanged starting XI for the previous three games and, given they are on a five-match unbeaten run, may decide to stick rather than twist against Ronnie Moore's outfit.

The former England striker will welcome the selection headache, though, with a number of players returning lately to leave just defender Rob Atkinson (hamstring) as the only definite absentee.

Jim McNulty has been granted permission to play for Tranmere.

The full-back extended his loan stay from Barnsley on Thursday and, under the rules of that extension, he can feature in the cup competition.

Rovers captain James Wallace, out since December 1 with a knee injury, could make his return in a reserve game in two week's time with the midfielder currently participating in non-contact training as he eases his way in.

Defender Evan Horwood is back in training from a groin injury and Akpo Sodje could return after suffering back spasms, but Andy Robinson (knee) is absent while fellow midfielder Joe Thompson was last week revealed to be battling cancer.
