Ross Etheridge to return for Accrington

Accrington will have goalkeeper Ross Etheridge available again as they look to bounce back from the home defeat to Portsmouth against Plymouth.

Etheridge was sent off in the closing stages of Stanley's game at AFC Wimbledon and the club failed in an appeal to have the decision overturned, with Jason Mooney deputising in the 3-1 home loss to Pompey.

Stanley boss John Coleman had no complaints with the scoreline, but was concerned that his promotion-chasing side have picked up only two points from the last 12.

Josh Windass is nearing a return after undergoing a hernia operation in January, but remains sidelined alongside Terry Gornell (ankle), Dean Winnard (chest) and Adam Buxton (illness).

Plymouth have been rocked by the news that forward Ryan Brunt - who has scored 10 goals in 19 starts this season - will miss the next six to nine months with a cruciate ligament injury.

On-loan Hibernian centre-back Jordon Forster is still unavailable after injuring his jaw at the beginning of the month at Barnet.

However, Pilgrims boss Derek Adams is hoping to see the return of defenders Peter Hartley and Carl McHugh (calf). Hartley landed heavily challenging for a header against Oxford.

Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month nominee Oscar Threlkeld could also be in contention after missing the last couple of games with a hamstring problem.
