Caton in Stanley reckoning

Accrington boss James Beattie could hand a first start to winger James Caton when Dagenham visit the Crown Ground.

The 19-year-old joined on loan from Blackpool on Thursday and is expected to play some part against the Daggers.

Beattie will run the rule over goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin (knee), while Danny Webber and Laurence Wilson (both groin) are close to making their comebacks.

Michael Liddle remains sidelined with the ankle problem that has forced him to miss his side's last four matches.

Dagenham are waiting to see whether new striker Chris Dickson can make his debut.

The Ghana international strengthened manager Wayne Burnett's attacking options by signing a deal with the Daggers, but has to wait for international clearance before he can make his bow.

Strikers Josh Scott and Louis Dennis and defender Ian Gayle have recovered from their respective injuries, although the trio are not yet fit enough to warrant a place in Burnett's squad.

Forward Jack Reed is no longer available for selection after leaving the club by mutual consent on Tuesday.
