Amond at the double for Stanley

Accrington substitute Padraig Amond's late double consigned Dagenham to their eighth straight league defeat as they lost 3-0 at the Crown Ground.

Irishman Amond came on the pitch after 74 minutes and nine minutes later he had his first, heading home a Charlie Barnett cross from close range.

A minute later the ball fell to him just inside the area as the Daggers failed to clear their lines and he struck home from 10 yards out.

Stanley striker Craig Lindfield had earlier given the Reds the lead with his first league goal of the season after 57 minutes. Blackburn loanee Micah Evans' played in a good cross which former Liverpool man Lindfield fired home from six yards out.

Stanley had created the better chances in the first half and deserved the lead.

However, John Still's side then came back with defender Michael Spillane heading just wide, while Abu Ogogo's fierce drive was cleared off the line by Luke Joyce after Cristian Montano had done all the hard work in forcing Ian Dunbavin out of his goal.

Spillane rifled an effort wide before Amond then took control of the game for the Reds, who are now four unbeaten in the league.
