Accrington Stanley beat Yeovil to maintain momentum

Josh Windass and Matt Crooks were on target as Accrington beat Yeovil 2-1 to secure their fourth win in a row in League Two.

Stanley made a positive start and after eight minutes Billy Kee fed the ball through to Windass and he fired low past Artur Krysiak for his sixth goal of the campaign.

Yeovil were always chasing the game and it was the home side who created the better chances.

Sean McConville headed narrowly over, Windass could have added a second but his chip was off target while Piero Mingoia headed over Adam Buxton's cross all in the first half hour.

But Yeovil equalised against the run of play after 35 minutes when Josh Sheehan got the ball and ran at the Stanley defence, lashing home from 20 yards to draw the Glovers level.

The visitors then looked threatening and Ryan Bird came close to adding a quick second but his effort was just wide.

Bird was again a threat after the break as he raced forward and fired over the bar while, at the other end, Crooks had a free header but could only guide it into Krysiak's arms.

He made amends on 54 minutes, though, when he got on the end of Kee's knockdown on the edge of the area and blasted home the winner.
