Wolves expect fresh Dzeko bid

AC Milan have been urged to return with an improved offer for Edin Dzeko by the Bosnia striker's current club Wolfsburg.

The 23-year-old hot-shot has been the subject of one unsuccessful bid from the Italian giants since the end of the Bundesliga season, but Wolfsburg chief executive Jurgen Marbach fully expects a fresh approach in the coming weeks.

"There is no new enquiry, but I have been told Milan have not yet given up," he said.

"We wouldn't close the door regarding talks, but if (Milan general manager Adriano) Galliani attempts to come over to Wolfsburg for talks he has to signal his arrival way before.

"We are in no hurry and we are facing everything very calmly. We are trying to speak in person with Edin Dzeko regarding a new contract."
