Seedorf welcomes Ron boost

AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf is hoping the rumours are true and that Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho can be lured to the San Siro next season.

The out-of-favour Barcelona playmaker has been linked with a move to Italy for the past 18 months and Seedorf is hoping that fresh speculation suggesting Milan have upped their efforts to sign him are proved correct.

Ronaldinho has struggled for form and fitness this season and will play no part in the remainder of the campaign after damaging a thigh muscle in training.

"I will be happy if he comes to Milan because he is another great champion," said Seedoorf.

"I would welcome him. His arrival would give us all a boost.

"But I'm not involved in these discussions and I just hope that the club does what is necessary.

"The coach and the directors know what is needed and will find players who can make the difference."
