Pato could miss Red Devils clash

AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato must wait until Monday to find out whether he will be ready to play in next week's Champions League last-16 second leg clash against Manchester United.

The Brazilian star picked up a hamstring injury in the Rossoneri's 3-1 Serie A win against Atalanta on Sunday and Milan will not make a decision on his involvement until the last minute.

He definitely misses the league game against AS Roma this weekend and it would come as a blow if he is forced to sit out the showdown next Wednesday as Leonardo's men look to overturn a 3-2 first-leg deficit.

A statement from AC Milan read: "AC Milan announces that Alexandre Pato today had an MRI that has shown a strain in his right biceps femoris without real muscle lesion.

"The player will undergo further tests on Monday morning."
