Milan wait on Maldini

AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti is keeping his fingers crossed that Paolo Maldini will recover in time to face Manchester United.

Maldini has been sidelined since aggravating a knee problem in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final at Old trafford last week, but Ancelotti is hoping his veteran skipper is fit for the return meeting with the Rossoneri facing a 3-2 deficit.

"I'd like for him to recover because his experience is essential," admitted Ancelotti.

"In matches like this one, personality and experience count for more than fitness condition."
