Milan rule out major signings

Vice-president Adriano Galliani has admitted AC Milan will be forced to look for value in the transfer market should they decide to bolster their squad.

The Rossoneri have re-signed veteran England midfielder David Beckham on loan from Los Angeles Galaxy for a second successive season and Galliani has admitted that any future transfer window deals are likely to be along the same lines.

However, Galliani has ruled out making a move for Goran Pandev following the Macedonia striker's recent release by Serie A rivals Lazio.

"Pandev? Our choice was a diplomatic one. We didn't think it would be right to start negotiations with a player who has just broken his contract with a club," he said.

"We are looking for good players, possibly those on a free transfer."
