Milan expect title challenge

AC Milan have warned coach Carlo Ancelotti that they expect him to win the Scudetto this season following the investment in the squad this summer.

Ronaldinho has joined the Rossoneri from Barcelona and the further arrivals of Mathieu Flamini, Philippe Senderos and the return of legendary striker Andriy Shevchenko have all increased expectations at the San Siro.

"I believe that Ancelotti must be very happy," said vice-president Adriano Galliani. "It's a title-winning squad and our coach knows that.

"That doesn't mean that we can't also lose it, but of course we have to fight until the last day."

Meanwhile, Galliani has issued a fresh denial that Kaka could be sold amid reports he could join Chelsea as part of the deal that has brought Shevchenko back to Italy.

"With Shevchenko we never, never talked about Kaka so fans should stay calm," he added.

"We have said it again and again in the last two years."
