AC Milan's club doctor Jean Pierre Meersseman has hit out at the recent knee surgery performed on the Italian club's Brazilian ace Kaka.
The 26-year-old playmaker struggled for much of last season with a knee complaint and is set to be sidelined for at least a couple of months, as he recovers from a procedure carried out by the Brazil national team staff.
However, Meersseman is concerned that Kaka's injury may not have been totally cured.
He fumed: "With the operation the player wanted, time was lost because he had to undergo rehabilitation without curing the other problem.
"The injury to his meniscus was cured during the operation, but it had nothing to do with the inflammation. The procedure was useless and damaging."
