Milan claim Cissokho capture

AC Milan have won the race to sign FC Porto's French left-back Aly Cissokho.

The 21-year-old is set to finalise his move to the San Siro on Monday, having also been linked with several clubs in England, despite having only been with Porto for a matter of months.

Rossoneri vice-president, Adriano Galliani, told the club's official website: "The negotiations during the night were intense.

"We see Cissokho as very strong, as shown by the interest in him, even in the final hours, from top European clubs.

"But in the end, our long-standing friendship with the Porto management prevailed."

Cissokho started his professional career with Gueugnon, before heading to Portugal in the summer of 2008 to join Vitoria Setubal.
